iOS 8.3 will allow you to report spam iMessages more easily

Do you get a lot of spam messages via iMessage? iOS 8.3 may finally allow you to report spam text messages.
iOS 8.3 has an option to report a text message as junk when it is sent by someone who is not in your contact list.
As you can see in the screenshot below, you will now see a “Report Junk” option below the message sent by someone who is not in your contact list. The feature was first discovered by a reddit user.
iOS 8.3 - report spam
The option seems to be available only for iMessages. Currently, to report iMessage spam, one has to send the screenshot of the message, email address or phone number, date and time to imessage.spam@apple.com. So the new feature in iOS 8.3 should make reporting spam iMessages a lot easier.
Most carriers also allow you to report spam texts by forwarding the text to SPAM (7726).
I don’t get a lot of spam text messages via iMessage, so it doesn’t seem to be a major issue, but it is nice to be able to report the sender for sending spam messages.
Apple has seeded four beta versions of iOS 8.3 so far. It includes several new features and improvements such as a new Emoji keyboard, Wireless CarPlay, Siri enhancements, improved keyboard and lots more.
