Apple turns its logo red in honor of World AIDS Day

The Apple logo is illuminated in red at the Apple Store on 5th Avenue to mark World AIDS Day, in the Manhattan borough of New York
To create awareness about AIDS and to recognise World AIDS Day, Apple has colored its logo in bright red across its retail stores. The company had started this tradition four years ago.

In addition, Apple is also promoting its (PRODUCT)RED line of accessories for the iPhone, Mac, iPad, and Apple Watch on its online store. Apple donates a portion of the sale of its (PRODUCT)RED accessories to raise awareness about AIDS. Since the launch of the program in 2006, Apple has donated upwards of $100 million to create awareness about AIDS.
The company also released the official (PRODUCT)RED cases for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus yesterday to celebrate the occasion. Lastly, Apple has also teamed up with Supercell, the developers of Clash of Clans, Boom Beach and Hay Day to donate profits from the IAPs of the above games for the development of a cure against AIDS and HIV.
