Back in September, when Apple launched the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, the company also released a (PRODUCT)RED silicone case for the device, skipping a leather option altogether.
However, it looks like Apple is
beginning to roll out availability for a leather case with the
(PRODUCT)RED branding initiative in tow, according to a new report from iGeneration [translated].
Based on images published by the site, the (PRODUCT)RED) leather cases
for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are beginning to make their way to Apple
retail stores, but the site could only confirm the presence of the cases
in one location as of the time of this writing.
Apple has a long-standing partnership with (PRODUCT)RED, which encompasses a wide range of products sold by the Cupertino-based company, including an Apple Watch strap, cases, and other accessories and devices. A portion of the sales from those purchases goes to the Global Fund to help AIDS programs in Africa.
When the (PRODUCT)RED leather case becomes available for you to buy, do you plan on picking one up?
Update: The (PRODUCT)RED Leather Case for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are now available on Apple’s Online Store. Here’s a link to the iPhone 6s option, and a link to the iPhone 6s Plus variant.
