As revealed by a report published recently by MacRumors and citing information gathered from JCPenney customers posting to the publication’s forums, the department store chain is allowing shoppers in the Dallas-Forth Worth area to set up their store credit cards with the mobile payment option, as long as they’re shopping at the store located in The Village at Fairview shopping area.
Supporting a store’s credit card is a new feature to Apple Pay, with Kohl’s being the first department store in the United States to support it for shoppers, which launched at the end of October of this year. JCPenney has been a longstanding entity listed as a partner for supporting charge cards within Apple Pay, right along with Kohl’s, so the retailer’s support is only a matter of time at this point.
