Tim Cook will be honored with 2015 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope award

Tim Cook has been outspoken about fighting inequality and discrimination ever since taking the role of CEO at Apple, and now he’ll earn another award for the effort.

It has been announced that Apple’s CEO Tim Cook will be awarded with the 2015 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope award in December, which honors leaders in projecting a commitment to social change. According to the organization, this particular award “lauds leaders of the international business, entertainment, and activist communities who demonstrate commitment to social change and reflect Robert Kennedy’s passion for equality, justice, basic human rights, and his belief that we all must strive to ‘make gentle the life of this world.'”

Along with Tim Cook, the award is being presented to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Ambassador Marianna Vardinoyannis, Congressman John Lewis, and Evercore co-founder Roger Altman.
The Ripple of Hope award will be presented to those it is being honored on Tuesday, December 8.
