On Thursday, PayPal came with a new small business mobile payment system app dubbed as PayPal Here. This thumb sized card reader is a triangular dongle that fits in the headphone jack of any iPhone or Android devices and is easy to carry.John Donahoe, CEO, eBay said “When PayPal does something it doesn’t start small … PayPal does things globally,”
Initially this app is launched at select merchants in the United States, Canada, Australia and Hong Kong and will be made available in other parts of the world soon.
PayPal Here app has an ability to accept debit and credit cards, PayPal and checks from anywhere you do business. The app helps the merchants to creates invoices that can be sent to customers via email. Moreover it also keeps the track of cash transactions.
PayPal Here app helps the merchants to see your name and photo while executing the transaction and can charge your purchases by tapping your picture thereby constituting more security in the transaction.
Over and above the card reader and app is free of cost.
Along with this business app, PayPal has announced an updated version of its consumer mobile app. This updated app allows the user to find local business and execute a transaction by simply saying “Charge My PayPal“.
Paypal is growing rapidly with a huge customer base in 190 markets supporting over 24 different currencies.
