As expected, Apple’s special one day shopping event in some Asian countries to celebrate the Chinese New year has just gone live.
Dubbed “Red Friday” the event is similar to the “Black Friday” in the US and elsewhere where Apple offers discounts on Macs, iPads, and iPods, as well as accessories.
The countries that are included in this promotion are China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand.
For example: In Singapore, Apple is offering a S$50 discount on the iPad, S$40 on the iPhone 4S, 4th generation and 5th generation iPod touch, S$120 discount on MacBook Air and MacBook Pros and S$14 discount on the iPod nano.
Apple is also offering 8-14% discounts on AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, Time Capsule, Apple Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and the Wireless Keyboard.
iPhone and iPad accessories such as Apple’s In-Ear headphones, EarPods, iPad Smart Cover and Smart Case, lightening to USB and Lightning to 30-pin connector have also been discounted.
The promotional prices will be available today from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. in these countries.
