
While it is beginning to appear like we won’t be seeing any major
sales from award-winning developers like EA or Gameloft, there are still
plenty of discounted apps on the App Store ahead of the Memorial Day weekend in the United States. In this final edition of App Recap
for this week, we highlight several new, updated and on sale apps for
iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Put your racing or skateboarding skills to

New Apps
F1 Race Stars brings Formula One racing to the iPhone and iPad.
In the game, use power-ups, hit jumps, power slide around corners and
speed through shortcuts as you fight for positioning in races. Features
include multiplayer racing, incredible visuals and amazing tracks from
across the world. F1 Race Stars is
free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

Draw your own hero to save the world in
Drawn to Life,
a new game that lets your imagination run wild. A versatile drawing
tool allows you to create things from scratch or use existing templates
to create a multitude of items, all to help you restore a dying village
to its former greatness. Drawn to Life is
$4.99 on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

Activision has soft launched
Tony Hawk’s Shred Session
in New Zealand, the first original Tony Hawk game for mobile devices.
You can skate as Tony Hawk, Chris Cole, Aaron Homoki, Lizzie Armanto,
David Gonzalez or Riley Hawk, swiping to perform signature skateboarding
tricks and moves. Tony Hawk’s Shred Session is
free for iPhone and iPad.
Updated Apps
TeeVee has received a long-awaited update
with a new design for iOS 7 and universal support for iPad. The app
also has a brand new homepage fullscreen layout for iPhone, alongside
the addition of background refresh to ensure that your data is always up
to date and ready to go. Several other features were added. TeeVee 3 is
$2.99 for iPhone and iPad.
FlightTrack 5
has also gone universal with support for the iPad as of a recent
update. The app, pushed to version 5.1, now make it easy to share all
flights in a trip via Messages, Facebook, Twitter or AirDrop. Flight
statuses are more descriptive, and various bug fixes were made.

On Sale Apps

Gameloft might not have announced a Memorial Day blowout sale for its app lineup, but it has marked down
Order & Chaos Online
from $6.99 to free for a limited time. The epic adventure MMORPG game,
based on a heroic fantasy world, was last offered for free in early
November. Order & Chaos Online is
free for iPhone and iPad while discounted.
Walking with Dinosaurs: Inside their World
has been discounted from $4.99 to free for a limited time. The
interactive dinosaur encyclopedia app has fluctuated in price between
$4.99 and $13.99, but this is the first time it has been absolutely
free. Walking with Dinosaurs: Inside their World is
free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad during the sale.
Castle Doombad
has been discounted to 99 cents through the end of the Memorial Day
weekend. In this reverse tower defense game, Dr. Lord Evilstein has
kidnapped a princess, and you must protect his home turf from heroes
trying to save the day. The game features over 60 challenging levels.

Little Galaxy Family
is marked down from $2.99 to free for a limited time. The game involves
a young scientist that has reached out for his dream to find a new
home. With one-touch gameplay and intuitive gravity mechanics, space

BoomKLAKers
has gone free today through an AppGratis promotion, so get downloading
quick. The kids game, regularly $1.99, shows kids how to see and feel
dance. It teaches toddlers to associate musical beats with movement,
through the use of Boom KLAK, Boom Boom KLAK. Grab BoomKLAKers while its
free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
