Auki 1.2 brings Dark Mode, Mark as Read, High CPU fix and lots more

auki, the awesome quick reply tweak has received a major update.
auki 1.2 brings new features such as Dark Mode, the ability to mark messages as read, and also fixes the high CPU issue.

Dark Mode

As the name suggests, the new dark mode gives a darker theme to the quick reply and the quick compose window. It quite nicely implemented. As you can see in the screenshot above, the developers haven’t just changed the background from white to black. The entire color scheme changes with text and button labels highlighted in white and blue on a dark gray background. They have also made use of different shades of gray to highlight interactions and layers.

You can either switch to dark mode permanently or you can schedule it so that it switches to dark mode at night.

Mark as Read or Switch to SMS

You can also mark incoming messages as read without replying to it by tapping and holding on the Cancel button. Similarly, you can switch from iMessage to SMS by tapping and holding on the Reply button.

Quick Compose

If you don’t like the idea of accessing auki’s Quick Compose feature via the Notification Center or by assigning an Activator action, then you can now access it from the Control Center as it adds a FlipSwitch toggle.
Auki 1.2 also fixes the high CPU issue that was affecting some users. Here’s a complete list of improvements and changes in auki 1.2:

  • Added language support for Czech, Danish, Greek, Hebrew, Slovakian, Turkish and Vietnamese

Auki is available on Cydia for $3.99. It is one of the best jailbreak tweaks for iOS 7, and with this update it has become even better. This is exactly how Apple should implement the Quick Reply feature in iOS 8, which is on the top of my iOS 8 wishlist.
