Rovio releases Flappy Bird inspired game called ‘Retry’ in some countries

Retry by Rovio
We all know how addictive Flappy Bird was, especially after it went off the surface with people willing to pay even $20,000 for iPhones containing the game. And to spark off that addiction yet again, Rovio has launched its own unique retro take of the game with ‘Retry’ which will require users to fly a plane instead of a bird.
The app is available in Canada, Finland and Poland for the iPhones and iPads with more countries expected to get it soon. Retry comes from “Rovio LVL 11” which is Rovio’s new experimental wing for games which aren’t Angry Birds related.
Interestingly, the game isn’t yet another Flappy Bird clone and has the potential to be even more addictive and intuitive with several levels to choose from. The company hasn’t clarified as to when the rest of the world will get it, but we don’t think it should be far away considering the demand for such games across the globe. No marks for guessing that the game will rely on in-app purchasing to boost continuity.
From the guys sitting in the room next to the guys who made Angry Birds, comes RETRY – a game so hard, so addictive, so old school that you’ll think you’ve stepped into an 8-bit time machine and gone back to 1986. Totally rad!
So who’s excited to try this out?
