A new screenshot–which appeared on Ryan Petrich’s repo under another one of his tweaks–intentionally or not teased another one of his tweaks: Grabby. The version seen in the above screenshot, apparently made specifically for iOS 7, has been rumored for a long time and it appears that we now have even more proof that Petrich is indeed working on it.
The above video–by famed iOS concept artist Sentry–is the concept that the original Grabby made real, and it appears via the screenshot above that Petrich is working on its sequel. The screenshot above was actually included in the description for one of Petrich’s other tweaks, LockStep, which is supposed to show the number of steps you take on the Lock Screen in place of the normal “Slide to Unlock” text.
Another developer within the community, rv1raj, seems to be of the same opinion that the above screenshot is indeed a look at Petrich’s upcoming Grabby for iOS 7, whether the man himself intended it to the be there:
The updated version of the tweak shows 6 different lock screen icons, meaning the tweak can launch Wi-Fi settings, the Calendar app, Messages, the Phone app, the timer, and the Camera app in its current form. However, the design of the tweak has been altered to match the design of iOS 7′s camera grabber, leaving the icons to be small semi-transparent glyphs.
