Facebook Messenger update lets you send 15-second video messages, even bigger Likes

Facebook Messenger - Video message
Facebook has released an update for its Facebook Messenger app, which brings two new features.

You can now instantly record and send 15-second short videos to your family and friends. You can record the video by tapping and holding on the camera button.
The update also brings the ability to tap and hold on the ‘Like’ or thumbs up icon to send a bigger like “when you really, really like something”.
Here’s a look at what’s new from the change log:
  • Instant Video Sending: Shoot and play 15-second video messages from the camera right in the app
  • Big Likes: Press and hold to send an even bigger thumbs up when you really, really like something.
This comes just a few days after Facebook accidentally released and then pulled its SnapChat competitor called SlingShot, which offers a twist on traditional messaging by allowing you to “sling” a photo or video message to your friends. In order for your friends to view the content, they have to sling something back to you.
If the app hasn’t been automatically updated, you can download the update via the Updates tab in the App Store app or use the iTunes link below.
