One of iOS 8′s major theme has been continuity, that is letting users easily transition from one platform to the other. While Apple demoed continuity between iOS and Mac, iOS 8 also adds similar features for transitioning between mobile Safari and native iOS apps.
Users don’t have to worry about privacy, as Apple requires developers to go through a series of steps to verify that the app and domain are indeed owned by the same entity.
As a user, you’ll get a popup at the login screen asking you to select a saved password to use, as shown in the screenshot below:
Additionally, apps will also be able to update or delete password information:
This new feature, coupled with iCloud Keychain sync is going to be great for easily logging in to websites on any (Apple) platform, even with auto-generated, complex passwords. Let us know what you think of the feature in the comments below.
