The New Apple Store in Japan has a ‘Green’ Wall for climate control

Apple Store Green
A new image from the yet to be opened Apple Store in Omotesando, Japan reveals a wall which is covered entirely by green vines. This is said to be Apple’s way of going green for its stores for climate control and to conserve energy.
The outlet is yet to be opened, but it is common knowledge around the city that it is an Apple Store. This move also makes sense, considering that the region can get quite humid and hot during summers.
Apple has been a longstanding advocate of saving energy as we’ve seen over the course of the years. Its corporate headquarters and data centers run on 94% renewable energy and the company’s carbon footprint has dropped down substantially as well.
This store in Tokyo’s Omotesando also appears to have a leaf like pattern on other walls, which is the first of its kind for Apple and possibly an indication of what’s to come in the future. Apple is expected to officially open the store for the public starting from June, so we don’t have to wait long to get a better idea of what’s new with the internal architecture.
New Apple Store in Japan
Apple was recognized as a “Green Energy Innovator” by Greenpeace last month and this new Apple Store in Japan tells us why.
