Yes folks, you read that right. Apple is apparently being sued $1million because an 83 year old could not see the glass door, literally.
Evelyn Paswall, an 83 year old collided against the glass door of one of Apple’s retail store and broke her nose. Due to this injury she wants to sue Apple $1million and another $75,000 in medical expenses.
According to her attorney:
“Apple wants to be cool and modern and have the type of architecture that would appeal to the tech crowd, but on the other hand, they have to appreciate the danger that this high-tech modern architecture poses to some people.”The suit claims:
“The defendant was negligent . . . in allowing a clear, see-through glass wall and/or door to exist without proper warning.”Apple has already installed white stickers on all its retail stores last year to prevent something like this from happening but it seems it did not actually work, or maybe it does but sometimes people are too stupid to see things.
