claim to show another physical mockup of the iPhone 6 that sports the
same slim design that we have seen in earlier leaks. The photos were
originally published by a member of a well-known Chinese forum and
relayed by Nowwhereelse.fr without any further validation.The original purpose of the mold in the images is not clear, but 9to5Mac hypothesizes it could be a dummy model that case designers use to test and refine case designs. The dummy casing pictured in the photos has a curved design and elongated buttons that have graced earlier mockups. Dimensions were not provided, and there are no references in the photos to guess the size of the mold, which casts even more doubt on the validity of these images.
Outside of this leak, earlier rumors point to an iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display, an A8 processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera with improved optics. The 4.7-inch model is expected to be announced and launched sometime later this fall, with a 5.5-inch version possibly arriving next year.
