MessageHeads brings Facebook-style Chat Heads to Messages app [Jailbreak Tweak]

Facebook Chat Heads have been around for a while now, but a new tweak called MessageHeads was recently released, bringing Facebook-style Chat Heads to the iOS Messages app. MessageHeads can be used system-wide, making it easy to read and reply to text messages from anywhere, and allowing you to multitask even more effectively. Developer Ian Burns, who brought us tweaks like Slide for Usage and GuestMode, has been working hard on this tweak — and it’s finally here.
Earlier this year, we covered a tweak called MessageBox which lets you use Facebook Chat Heads anywhere within iOS. This isn’t the same thing, and MessageHeads actually has nothing to do with Facebook; this tweak just takes a popular Facebook feature and brings it to the Messages app. The style of the tweak is basically the same, though, and its functionality is almost identical.
As you can see in the screenshots above, the tweak takes all of your currently-active text and iMessage conversations and allows you to access them from anywhere within the OS via small buttons showing the contact’s picture. Tapping one of these faces will show you a small box and all of the conversation’s recent messages. Just as you can in the Messages app, you can use this pop-up to reply with text or photos. Also, as expected, you can grab any of these heads and drag them to the bottom of the screen to clear them from the screen.
The tweak includes more features, including the ability to customize the design of the pop-ups (such as the sending and received background and text colors), a “dark mode”, and the ability to customize the color for received notifications. Within the conversation pop-up, you can also click a button to mute conversations, meaning you won’t receive notifications for them through the tweak.
