Even though Apple stripped a lot of design and detail from the Camera app after pushing all devices to iOS 7, sometimes the community just can’t be pleased. A new simple tweak called MinimalCamera does away with every single bit of design left in the app, and lets you have a full screen viewfinder before snapping photos.
And that’s pretty much it to this simple tweak. After the buttons are no longer on-screen and you get the beauty of a full-screen camera experience, just tap the screen once to take a picture. Notably, the tweak still lets you swipe between camera modes, but the way it starts and stops video as well as controls panoramas can be quite confusing.
As you might expect from a tweak this simple, it’s available on Cydia completely free. I’ve tested it with the iPhone 5, but the developer hasn’t specified whether or not it works with iPad.
