A new tweak called Genie is now available, which lets you quickly and easily unlock your device with a variety of gestures. With a passcode enabled, it can become a nuisance to repeatedly unlock your device when there’s no risk of someone getting unauthorized access. This tweak fixes that, letting you have a secret gesture of access while still having a passcode enabled.
As you can see above, this iOS extension gives you a wide variety of activation options to choose from. You use them from the “Slide to Unlock” screen, and with the “Bypass Password” toggle enabled (as is by default), you’ll be launched directly into your Springboard upon performing the gesture.
Toggling “Disable Normal Unlock” will actually prevent the passcode screen from even being able to appear, which means that you’re not going to be able to access your device at all unless you have your Genie access method memorized.
Overall, this is a pretty simple and useful tweak. It’s available on the Cydia store for $0.99, and is compatible with iPhone running iOS 7 and up. Let us know what you think about the tweak in the comments below. Is this going to make your life any easier?
