IFTTT has added an official Instapaper channel on its website, according to a recent blog post. When activated, IFTTT users now have access to several different triggers and actions for Instapaper: share links from an Instapaper folder to LinkedIn, save links in your favorite tweets to Instapaper, send Instapaper highlights to Evernote, get a weekly email digest of your Instapaper likes and more.
The official blog post on IFTTT reads:
“There’s a brand new Instapaper Channel on IFTTT and it’s equipped with your most requested features, including five new Triggers! If you haven’t heard, Instapaper is a simple tool for saving web pages to read later on all your devices.”
There are several other recipes that were added to IFTTT for Instapaper, including save new items from an RSS feed to Instapaper, save Tumblr likes to Instapaper, save YouTube “Watch Later” videos to Instapaper, post Instapaper likes to WordPress, send links from an Instapaper folder to a GroupMe group, send Instapaper saves to Pinboard, get breaking ESPN news sent to Instapaper and more.
IFTTT, short for “if this then that,” is an online automation service that automatically completes common Internet tasks for you to save valuable time. IFTTT users can create triggers by pairing two platforms together, such as having a new blog post be automatically posted to Twitter or having a new Reddit thread that reaches the Hot section result in an email notification being sent to your inbox.
